This is the perfect resource for the bride who wants to take all her wedding planning details along with her in her purse/pocket, and who ALSO appreciates having a hard copy, aka physical book, to look at. My mom gave me this nifty little book as a present when I was just beginning to get well into the process of planning my wedding. I had it all set in my mind that I was going have a simple wedding. Well- I did. It was semi-formal, we didn't have any attendants, and we only had something like 22 guests. I ALSO had it all set in my mind that since it was a small wedding, it wouldn't be AT ALL stressful to plan, and I could keep track of my checklists in my head. Well- that part I was wrong about. This mini planner is small but mighty, in my opinion. It helped me so much with my mental clarity. I also used online planning tools, and they definitely had their place, but sometimes it was just easier to leaf through this little book rather than pull up my browser and navigate between tabs. Plus, it was just so satisfying when I would complete an item, to mark it off with a great, big checkmark with my pen. I say, get this book. There are other resources to help you plan, but this will earn its spot as part of your toolkit by being an all-in-one. It has categories and items you may not even have thought of, that I didn't see on a checklist anywhere else. But it's all here, at a glance, on paper.

I really liked the "try this, try this, here's another idea, try this" approach in this book. I was only reading a few minutes when I had a lightbulb moment, put the book down and immediately went to my closet to implement one of the author's strategies and was able to finally let go of something that I had struggled to discard! Instead of suggesting a "one size fits all" step-by-step philosophy, this books offers lots of small, short tips to help you think through decisions about letting go. There are also sections on these topics: Make choices, Create order, Know Yourself, Cultivate Helpful habits, and Add beauty. I definitely recommend.

I read this book in a couple of hours today. It is on a topic very familiar to me, as I consider myself a (not strict) minimalist. It would have been extremely helpful to me about two years ago! It was a fun read.The book is primarily a collection of ideas to reduce physical clutter. If you are hoping to declutter, reading this book is a no-brainer. If you want your clutter to stay the way it is, you may not enjoy this book! If you are already a minimalist, you have read most of these ideas before.To address the two criticisms of the Amazon reviews thus far:1) This is not a novel or structured like Ms. Rubin’s previous books. It is arranged so that one may read straight through (as I have done) or select pages to read here and there. The personal anecdotes so common in her “happier” books are not as pervasive here.2) It’s unfortunate that a few reviewers’ copies arrived dirty/damaged, but this is not a true criticism of the book. Amazon would send a free replacement if asked, I would think.

"Outer Order, Inner Calm" is your most organized friend kindly sharing her awesome tips for clearing clutter. While the book is structured around Gretchen Rubin’s five steps for decluttering and organizing, each page is a stand-alone, smart little tip. (Yeah, I absolutely should have “donated quickly” back in January rather than moving my giveaway pile into the basement!)"Outer Order, Inner Calm" is motivating because it’s realistic. For example, using the methods in "Outer Order," you can make some improvements to better your home even if you don’t have a lot of time. Also, the cleaning methods and checklists don’t rely on convincing your partner or family to “do their part.”I love that "Outer Order, Inner Calm" proposes long-term habit changes to maintain order, such as strategic shopping, repairing broken items, and adding beauty to your home. "Outer Order" also addresses work-life in addition to home-life (because work is a part of life!)If you’re interested in the KonMari method, "Outer Order, Inner Calm" is a great companion book. Both Marie Kondo and Gretchen Rubin agree that the ultimate goal is happiness! Personally, I like Marie Kondo’s “spark joy” concept, but I feel like part of the instructions are missing. (The KonMari method seems to be easier to implement on "Tidying Up," where the families can ask Marie Kondo questions to fill in the blanks!) "Outer Order, Inner Calm" diagnoses many of my ongoing clutter problems and gives concrete solutions. That pile of “not clean, but not dirty” clothes on the bedroom chair – put up a hook!I’d recommend "Outer Order, Inner Calm" to you if you like Marie Kondo but need more concrete and varied ideas on how to declutter, if other people rely on you to keep your home organized, if you want to declutter efficiently, or if you’re the type of person who needs an individual cleaning method.

I was expecting another book in Gretchen Rubin's chatty style on how to live a happier, and in this case, less cluttered life. Instead, this is bullet-point-style general info on decluttering. Marie Kondo does a better job of that. I'm returning it.

I love Gretchen Rubin and have all of her books. I thought I was getting a novel type of book but instead got snippets of calendar of the day wisdom for decluttering. It is a beautiful looking book but feel like it is nothing new and I got the cliff notes version and was hoping for actual content.

The writing of Rubin’s ideas & thoughts are well organized & easy to read, thus making it an enjoyable read. The material is accessible & I am motivated to apply Rubin’s ideas easily into my life! Not to mention the cover itself brings inner calm.

Love this book. Lots of good ideas and strategies. Funny, i already do some. This validates me. It has really opened my eyes to messes and clutter. The do it now is the best one. Thats the best time to do anything! Great work Gretchen. Very informative. Great read.

Received my copy earlier today, and for a new book, it sure looks beat up. The cover is a bit dirty, and the bottom corners/edges are warped and worn. Pretty disappointing. I do not think it is worth the time and effort to return it, though. Just expected the product itself to be in better shape. On the brighter side, I am looking forward to reading its contents (I have read and enjoyed Gretchen’s other works, and appreciate her insight.).

For most of us who grew up bombarded with non-biblical scientific view points, this book is a refreshing change. It's helped me to look at the Bible and the book of Genesis in a whole new light. And I like that the author takes care to provide illustrations in places where the technical jargon gets tricky. And there are plenty of footnotes/end-notes for those of us who want to dig deeper into this subject. I may buy another copy or two for friends and family!

This book is great! It’s a good introduction to creationist thought for where we stand currently. I wish we were to the point where geocentricity would be included, but that’s probably ten years or more away. D. Russel Humphries’ cosmological theories are okay, but I’d rather see some more rigorous models. Overall, though, this should serve as the gateway to creationism for a lot of people for years to come.

This book is an excellent book for people questioning what evidence there really is for evolution, and why Christians, particularly Creationist Christians maintain strong faith in the God of Israel, the God the Bible, and in Jesus Christ His Son.

Turner's use of a FAQ format is annoying at best. The book reads as if it is collection of research notes, rather than a developed manuscript. Obviously well-researched, the book's value is greatly diminished by its format and lack of a comprehensive index.

While this book is naturally going to be of most interest to Illinois residents or tourists, any student interested in the Underground Railroad would benefit from the extensive background that Turner provides into the Underground Railroad in general as well as the stories about its leaders and the people who traveled it.Most of the book is written in the format of a very extensive FAQ, but with questions for the students to answer and references to further reading embedded in the text.While the reading level is at a middle school to high school sophomore level, older readers will still find the stories and the wonderful collection of archival photographs fascinating.The biggest weakness of the book is that it's written as an FAQ but the table of contents does not list the individual questions and answers. This is worsened by a very limited index that doesn't include many of the places or people who were mentioned only in passing. This is astonishing for an educational publishing house and would bring the book down half a star if Amazon allowed.

The best study bible out there and the leather is the best most soft and supple. One of the best sets of notes and full assortment of aids.

I love the commentary and the NKJV for this Bible. Very in-depth and full of truth. Nelson has updated it throughout the years. This time it's in "full color" yet the Word of Jesus are not in red. Why go through all the colored detailes and not have the Words of Jesus in red??!!

 Love the spacious wordings. Very comfortable for the eyes. Amazing & very insightful notes. Personally think that the pages are too thin. Overall very happy with my bible :’)THANK YOU JESUS!

I had to re-write my review. I went to study the Book of Ruth and there is a glaring error in the notes about authorship. I originally gave this Bible 5 stars, but with this biblical error in the notes I have to drop it to 3 stars. Sorry about that. I give honest reviews.
