An interesting biography of Einstein in an easy readable manner. I don't believe elementary age children would want to read all his personal life dilemnas but more appropriate for middle school children and up.

This is a terrible introduction to Einstein's life and thought, full of errors which would be funny if they weren't so painful. A selection:* p.10: refers to the Torah as "the first 5 books of Moses". First 5?* p.13: refers to the Pythagorean Theorem as a "theory", and then "the most fundamental theorem in mathematics". No one with any exposure to mathematics could have written this.* p.44: "Mileva continued to help Einstein with the mathematical aspects of his theories." Nope. See, for example, the Wikipedia entry on Mileva Maric.* p.52: explains mass as "how much space that object takes up". Ouch.* p.52: "Mass approaching the speed of light becomes equivalent to energy, and energy slowed down becomes massive." So confused, one does not even know where to start.I could go on, but that's as far as my 12-year-old daughter got in the book before she asked me to look at it, to clarify some points which did not make sense.It's too bad, since the Sterling Biographies series is generally good. But this particular volume is so inaccurate that a student would be better off knowing nothing of Einstein than reading this.

The book is poor. It includes many topics but enough details are not given, and it lacks explanations and examples.

Great!

An optimization textbook that covers the basics (linear programming, constraints, duality) with extreme detail. It is difficult to read, even with a graduate level background and familiarity with optimization. The math notation is confusing, the text is incredibly dense, and it is written assuming a very high level of mathematical training. There are very few pictures to describe what is going on; the reader is told that certain formulae mean certain things (are ellipses, clearly b separates f and g, ...) but the visualization is left to the imagination.The authors seem to have their stuff down but it doesn't carry over well to the reader, at least in my opinion.

Great illustrations and the pages are thick and durable. Our kid is pretty gentle with books, but I still appreciate the thick pages.The toddler loves to say "no!" for each misbehaving dinosaur. Reading this book has not resulted in her adopting any of the depicted bad behaviors.One reviewer mentioned all the dinos were depicted as "he." This is true. But I have another book by Yolen and all the dinos in there are "she." Both misbehaving and well behaved.As an adult, I love how the name of each type of dinosaur is included.

I reviewed another one of these books - they're great, and my little dinosaur loves it. Jane Yolen has several books out there, and I think we own all of them. The story is great, and the graphics are well done. We've read this story at least 100 times in two weeks. The story is shorter, so you don't have to worry about staying up all night reading the story. Youtube has videos of people reading the story, so it'll give you a break from reading the story over and over again. Great book(s) for your little dinosaur lover.

Simple, wonderful book for bedtime rituals. Both my almost four year old daughter and almost 2 year old son love it. My daughter especially can relate having done almost all of the things that good little dinosaurs​ don't do. We have a nice laugh about it every time I read it her. It's my son's favorite-I'm not allowed to skip this one at night.

My kiddo loves the How Do Dinosaurs books! I couldn't figure out why this one was twice the price of the others-- for those wondering it is a large hardback with paper pages while the cheaper books are smaller all board books. I will just have to make sure my kiddo doesn't rip the pages :-) The story line is very cute and VERY accurate of what small children do when it's time for bed (crying, stomping, pouting and yes, hollarin' for ONE MORE BOOK! ). I highly recommend this book. I also love that they labeled each one of the dinosaurs with their scientific name so when my little one gets a bit older we can read the book AND identify the type of dinosaur on each page.

Such a cute book. I love all the "How Do Dinosaurs" books by these authors. If your little one loves dinos, these are great fun to read for us and them!

I have bought a lot of these books! My boys love them and this is my personal fave. We read these books at least twice a week if not more and it never gets old! I recommend this book for any child!

When my son was 2, we really struggled to get him into a bedtime routine. And then a dear friend gave us this book as a gift. On the very first night we read it to him, my son loved the book. The second half of the book talks about dinosaurs tucking in their tails, turning off the light, etc. My son followed along and actually looked forward to going to bed each night. We faithfully read it to him every night for about 6 months as our last bedtime book. No fights to go to bed...life was heavenly! Now that he's 4, we still read this book quite often and we have found others in this series enjoyable as well.

All 5 of my children have loved this book. It's been read so much, I've had to but three of them over the years! The pictures are wonderful and the story is cute, quick and fun. All the dinosaur books in this series are wonderful!
