The images and equations are too small in the e-book to read. How can I learn equations if I can't read them?? I ordered a hardcopy and hope to get my money back for the ebook. Ebook is a waste of money.

This is such a cute series. I love watching Sab and Serenity’s relationship development as well as her role with the other guys. This series is so suspenseful and will keep you on the edge of your seat wanting more.

I enjoyed it, It is a different kind of story and I love the way author writes her Characters. They are many times innocent and not very believable, but still the story is interesting. It is a clean book and funny.

It draws you in and it leaves you wanting more. It has the perfect amount of action and romance. It leaves you on the edge or ur seat.

This book is packed full of action and young love and definately leaves you excited for the next book to come out!

It’s got a great plot with action, adventure, and romance. I can’t wait for the next book. It just draws you in and leaves u wanting. And I love Sebastian.

This book was not what I expected. After the last book, Serenity is feeling betrayed by Nolan. Jer dad puts Sebastian on babysitting duty. They have a lot of issues to work through in order to get along.I loved it. I did not see the twists that Scarlett Haven added to the plot. I cannot wait to read the next book.

After finishing Book #1 in this series and loving it, especially when I discovered it was a reverse harem series and felt similar to one of my favorite series - The Ghost Bird. I immediately hopped onto Amazon and went to Kindle Unlimited and got Book #2 to read. Keeping Me by Scarlett Haven picks up where Book #1 finished with Gage in a coma and Nolan on the run after he shot Gage and tried to kidnap Karlie aka Serenity. In Keeping Me, we learn a bit more about Karlie's parents and her mother and how she ended up in Florida. With Nolan after Karlie, her dad decides to send her on a road trip with Sebastian aka Bass to keep safe. Though this is short-lived as Nolan catches up with them, it seems, and so the group of them hop on a plane and high-tail it to New Zealand. I loved this part as being from New Zealand myself; it made me smile. While in NZ, Karlie starts to discover her feelings for the boys and her father, though it seems they have been tracked and Project Lex Luthor is initiated. With Project Lex Luthor initiated, we learn more about Karlie's Dad's past and Sebastian's family. During the Project Lex Luthor, the book has a lot of Superman references which after finishing Keeping Me made me want to rewatch the Superman movies and reminded me I still have to watch Batman Vs. Superman. I am now looking forward to reading Book #3 when it is released and hope to discover more about Karlie's mother and how she ended up kidnapped and with the couple who raised her. The Spy Chronicles is the perfect read for those who love spy stories and reverse harem reads.

I feel in love with this series after reading the first book. So when I got the chance to read an ARC of book two I was extremely excited! This review is honest and all mine!!I love these characters! So this book continues at spy school with our group dealing with the betrayal by Nolan and Serinity still trying to recover from the abuse she suffered. When the enemy closes in and her dad sends her on the run with Sebastian playing babysitter. It's a ride you don't want to miss! Seriously you won't be disappointed!

She sees the wolves in their true form as humans instead of the beasts they are enchanted to be. Although starting her journey quite timid and afraid, the more she learns about the wolves, the more she begins to care for them.The wolves, although originally supposed to be six are a pack of five as one was lost during the transition. They have protected the village for 100's of years with little to no choice because when they have tried to leave they have dealt with excruciating pain. So they protect the village against the dark forces. Raina "Red" is the first female sacrifice and quickly they each fall for her. This pack of five protect her with everything they have.Queen and the Kingsmen -Wowzaaaa!!! The third book in this series is absolutely filthy, in a good way!!! Queen Zelladine, Gripir, Troylus, Regin, and Sigmun and their time together is something that I kept flipping pages for!Zoe Blake and Alta Hensley have mastered the dark world! They write brilliantly and have yet to disappoint me. I've never been a huge fan of darker style reads until I started reading their writings and now some of my favorite books are of the dark variety, this book being one of them!King Basil sends his Kingsmen to capture Queen Zelladine and return the body of his daughter. These men have yet to disappoint him so of course he can rely on them to get the job done. The Kingsmen's punishment becomes something that she has been yearning for, and she goes out of her way to make sure she gets it.This book is seriously smoking hot from start to finish and is a must read if you like to take a read on the dark side. It is certainly not the fairytale you grew up reading! Another 5 star read from Zoe and Alta!!

~ Snow and the 7 Huntsmen 4 Stars ~This book is a twisted and naughty take on the original story. Lots of sexy and kinky scenes, so you've been warned. The only draw back is there isn't much interaction outside of the bedroom until towards the end.~Red and the Wolves 4 Stars~Well, they've done it again. First, there was Snow White and her men and now Red with hers. This was done was dirty and I loved every page. Right of the bat it pulls you in and doesn't let go. Can't wait for the next one.~Queen and the Kingsmen 3 1/2 Stars~I just couldn't get into this one like I did the others. The men were Alpha Males, which I love, but there was something about the Queen that I couldn't connect with for some reason. I loved the books about Snow and Red and this one just left me wanting something more.

Zoe Blake and Alta Hensley have written a quick and very dirty and very sexy retelling of classic fairy tales, as only these two authors can. And their version of the fairy tales are always a little darker, ok maybe a lot darker than the original version from your childhood.Be ready to read this reverse harem story of Snow and her seven Huntsmen. Each one has a particular taste and we get to see each of these as they each have their turn with Snow.The second book is a dirty and dark tale is about Red and the Wolves that protect her village. But to everyone's surprise the wolves are not traditional wolves and they have very specific ways. Be prepared to see little red riding hood in a new light! And we get to see a cameo from Snow and the Huntsmen.As with the other two books, this third book delivers on the sexy times, and this story is between the Queen and the Kingsmen that have captured her. She discovers the pleasure and pain that can be delivered in the bedroom by the men that have been ordered to take her. But through a few twists and turns things don't always end the way the Kingsmen wanted or expected. Be ready for another quick and dirty read!

This is one dirty tale of Snow White and her seven strong powerful dominated Huntsmen and I loved how each one of them had their own different way with her and it was super hot I will never look at a pair of Antlers the same way again BRAVO!!!! I really liked how they all became close and when she tried cooking for them was hilarious. Overall this is one book you cant put down and great for all the girls who love naughty.This was a perfect dark delicious retelling of Red Riding Hood and the five Alpha wolves who will do anything to protect whats theirs and then we have an awful sadistic grandmother in the mix and I loved every word. Very well written and throws alll kinds of things at you that keeps you turning those pages. The Authors did a fantastic job of this sexy retelling of Red.LOVED LOVED Queen Zelladine she is fierce and feisty and her personality was devious doing what she must to keep those safe that mean something to her and the magic from her and the Kingsmen was exciting and thrilling. Her punishment from the Kingsmen is suppose to be punishment for all her wrongs she comes to term with some super dark desires she didn't know was lurking and boy it was hot. I think this is my favorite in the series I loved the characters and the banter between the 5 of them and the Queen rising up to every single challenge thrown at her, wonderfully written and so addicting.

What the actual fresh hell is this nonsense. First of all, "cunny" is a stupid word and made me cringe. Second, there is a fine line between BDSM and rape but it is a clear line. That line is consent. Snow was raped. Repeatedly. One time while she was also being drowned. She kept saying no. She was in fear for her life from her abductors and goes along with it to survive which is not love. And it is never explained why they took her just to torture her. Not hot. Not sexy. I wanted her to become Queen and execute all of them.

First, I loved the book's message about adopting a healthy lifestyle and the illustrations were beautiful. However, there are some contextual issues that I have. I support those that choose to be vegan, but the tone in places, if I were a kid that ate meat, I would feel like a bad person, like I was being shamed for eating it after reading this. The cow holding the "Animal Lives Matter" sign reminded me of people that say "All Lives Matter" and just felt unnecessarily snarky. Maybe I am just reading too much into it. Overall, the intentions of the message are good, there are positive and sweet moments of being a vegan discussed, I just wish the sweetness carried throughout the book.

I'm not a vegan, yet; but I have grandkids who are and I do admit it is tough making sure we have the right foods for them to eat while at the same time explaining that we aren't doing something terrible because we like to eat turkey on Thanksgiving. This book was very colorful, charmingly written, and helps us support them in being all that they can be; healthy, brave, caring, and smart!

I am not vegan, but as a mother I recognize the importance of making decisions for the health of your family regardless of mainstream opinions. This author has done that and so much more. Her encouragement of children to be proud of the incredibly brave environmental stewards they are is to be commended. This book helps raise awareness of food options outside of the more common consumption of animal products. The rhyming words and bright illustrations keep your attention, while also supporting a vegan and environmentally conscious lifestyle. We could all take notes from this book regardless of our eating style. I’m inspired to be more conscious of how my daily actions affect the environment which I love.

My 5 and 2 year old vegans are going to love this! I struggle to find veg-themed books that aren’t too sad or scary. Here, the animals are happy & cheering on the kids! Perfect!

I am using this book in my Media Law class and it is an outstanding guide for creative art students. It provides a basic guideline to college level students interested in a career in arts. That said I would have liked to see a very brief introductory on the legal system and the distinctns between the federal and state courts.

A good airport read but sorely missed the mark. The author states his criteria for selection and I'm good with that. He is an expert on what he likes and I am not. However, several generalizations were made which cannot go unchallenged despite the selection criteria used. Let me give one example of the lack of depth. It was stated in one review that, 'Not many good movies came out of the 70s..'. Anyone with any knowledge of 1970s movies will surely question that. I know tastes vary but....my goodness, that's off the mark by a long shot.Here are a few examples to chew on:Star Wars,The Godfather (1 & 2),Rocky (1 & 2),Taxi Driver,One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest,A Clockwork Orange,American Graffiti,Apocalypse Now,Alien,Mad Max,The Deer Hunter,The Exorcist,Jaws,Deliverance,Carrie,Young Frankenstein,Enter the Dragon,Superman,Close Encounters,Life of Brian,Chinatown,Dirty Harry,The Sting,Halloween,Saturday Night Fever,Jeremiah Johnson,MASH,The French Connection....and on and on and on.Not only is it misleading to say...'Not many good movies came out of the 70s', it's flat out wrong.So, if your looking for a quick read, this will pass the time without taxing your brain too much.

The stories are generally interesting, but there are too many errors, some of them fairly major, and one actually libelous. Among other things, the author argues against the use of the word “bullet” in Master and Commander,because “bullets were yet to be invented.” The movie is set in 1805; the use of the word bullet for a small arms projectile dates to late 1500s.The Navy Cross is not the Navy’s version of a Medal of Honor, it’s the Navy’s version of a Distinguished Service Cross, the second highest American military award. There is also no regulation requiring an actor to have a deliberate mistake, such as an incorrect medal or badge, when wearing a military uniform. In fact, so long as the film isn’t intentionally critical of the service, any of the American forces will do everything they can to insure the uniforms and accouterments are exactly correct.Some other little things. Mozart, to all accounts, died of cholera, not tuberculosis. And there was never any intention of the Doolittle raiders returning to the Hornet for the obvious reason that the planes couldn’t be landed on the carrier’s deck. The intent was always that they would overfly Japan and land in China, but the early launch meant most didn’t have enough fuel to reach Chinese held territory as the plan had called for.

This book had more facts than you could ever use in trivial pursuit , but that's what I purchased it for. I found the stories behind the films interesting . I only gave it two stars due to the large amount of war pictures that it included and at times it seems repetitive on movies of similar subjects. I would also say that included was quite a bit of American bashing by the Australian author . All in all this book was however a great source of trivia.

I would given more stars, but in reviewing the movie Pearl Harbor the African American sailor was awarded the Navy Cross during the Japanese attack. The this award is second to the Medal of Honor. No doubt that he deserved the MOH for his actions. Someone in the chain of command did not feel that African American deserved such a high honor. Recently,Jews,Puerto Ricans and African Americans have been awarded the MOH for service in the Korean conflict probably for the same reasons.

Even though he admits in opening he makes personal comments. He should leave his one sided political drivel out and stick with facts. It was very obvious his views by how he mocked some actors and gave others a pass. To add more after reading. I would advise EVERYONE to avoid this like the plague. Many of his so called truths are rumors and some outright false hoods. Plus he somehow finds ways to add comments that have absolutely nothing to do with the movie he is discussing. He somehow was able to have one of his longest rants on the Silkwood post, where he discussed the 911 attacks and the impossibility of it being a plane that hit the pentagon. Maybe he should stick to tabloids and rumors. YES a plane COMPLETELY full of fuel traveling at a high speed and hitting a solid wall CAN and WILL completely be destroyed. His assertion that it was not enough debris is ridiculous. Most plane crashed are not DESIGNED to be occupied missiles as this was, that is why MOST crashes have more debris, the pilot would be trying to SAVE it not intentionally crash it. Also tell all the people who saw it and the families who lost loved ones on this plane it did not crash.

We always knew that Hollywood played with the truth and included the line "Based On a True Story", when they made movies about real life events. This book will give you an idea of how much.The writer is very opinionated and biased, but seems to have done his homework and research as well.

Like eating popcorn, one story after another usually including interesting anecdotes and little known facts. You can pick this up, put it down, and start off right where you left off.

i was expecting something different, I suppose. It's factual and wordy, and frankly,they're a little tough to read.

I really like this course. Dr. Fears is a great storyteller. He draws you in and makes each lecture like an adventure. Some have complained about the biasedness of some of the statements, but that comes with the territory of Storytelling or being a Bard as some others have called him.I especially like how he puts little commentaries in along with the story, bringing into awareness that women are usually slighted in most of the Hero Stories.We can learn a lot from our past, and I really did enjoy the journey with this professor. I've ordered a couple other of his courses to because they're just so much fun. He truly impacted a lot of lives while he was here.

The Professor is a brilliant lecturer and story teller. However, when he tries to insert his religious views, he fails miserably but that is generally what happens in these circumstances so it is more than forgiven!

EXCELLENT LECTURES on the ancient myths and their influence on us today.

I believe I own every Great Course by The Teaching Company taught by the late Rufus J. Fears. It is because of him that I became a Teaching Company customer. Dr. Fears is an impeccable storyteller and historian. I love Dr. Fears because he aims to use history, art, literature, classics, heroes, etc to impart knowledge & wisdom to his students. I highly recommend this course for anyone who wants to be inspired to become a good citizen, a bold leader, a hero, more literate and wise. Amazon has the bad habit of lumping reviews of multiple editions of a book without regard as to author/editor or publisher, to the detriment of the buyer's choosing an edition, so I write to make a few comments on the 984,562 editions of "Paradise Lost" listed for purchase. I have used the titles as listed by Amazon to help find the editions I refer to, and, with the exception of the books by Kastan, Lanzara, and BookCaps, the ones I discuss below are ones I own and am familiar with.The version with an introduction and comments by Pullman has text that is large and readable, line numbers and some nice illustrations, taken from the first illustrated edition, published in 1688. It is a nice copy for those who want just the text of the poem. The text is based on Stephen Orgel's 2008 Paradise Lost (Oxford World's Classics) which has been modernized presumably with respect to capitalization, spelling and punctuation. The comments by Pullman are worthwhile, but, while he may be a very good writer, he is not a scholar of Milton. Unlike Orgel, there are no annotations or notes to explain Milton's often arcane language and allusions.For readers seeking annotated versions, I suggest the following.The ultimate edition of Milton Alastair Fowler's Milton: Paradise Lost: it has been called the Bible of Milton scholars; one review I saw called it suitable for graduate students majoring in Milton. It is one of the few available based on the first edition of "Paradise Lost", published in 1667, but Fowler states that it also includes the additions made in the second edition of 1674 --- the version that most of today's editors use. Know that Fowler has produced a very, very scholarly version with many, many notes, sometimes to the point that they leave only two or three lines of the poem on the page, so I strongly urge using the "Look Inside" feature before deciding to buy it. I recommend Fowler's 1998 Milton: Paradise Lost (2nd Edition) edition in used paperback ---- reissue in 2006 edition with a new cover and much higher price.The blurb from the publisher on the Pullman webpage misleads the reader by mentioning "This is the first fully-annotated, old-spelling edition ..." It ain't (as the small print says). I can't find the actual book this blurb refers to, there are several that might be the one mentioned. One such version, with very favorable recommendations, is Barbara K. Lewalski's 2007 Paradise Lost that reproduces the original language, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and italics of the 1674 text. Its annotations are on the same page. Again, I would again urge potential buyers to "Look Inside."(Incidentally, I was able to find a .pdf copy of it online).Another annotated edition, again with those on the same page, that sticks close to the original 1674 text (but with some minor modernization) is Merritt Y. Hughes' Paradise Lost (Hackett Classics), first published in 1935, and revised in 1962. It is advertised as one popular with college professors for their classes, whatever that may mean. From what I gather, Fowler has replaced Hughes as the scholarly version to use.The edition by Hughes was taken in 2003 by David Scott Kastan (Paradise Lost (Hackett Classics)) and edited more extensively, again with the annotations on the same page. Incidentally, Kastan's comments on how he edited, along with comments on any editor's choices when dealing with Milton, are well worth reading, and can be found under "Textual Introduction" using the "Look Inside" feature. I urge reading them to understand how and why there are so many different editions of Milton.Yet another annotated edition that comes close to the original is by John Leonard's Paradise Lost (Penguin Classics). The ad for this version states that the text has been modernized to the degree of reducing some capitals and italics, and correcting the spelling and some punctuation. It is annotated, but not to the degree of Fowler --- but the notes are at the back of the book rather than the bottom of the page as seems customary and which I personally find difficult to use because of constantly having to flip between pages. Again, I would urge potential buyers to "Look Inside."There are many other scholarly editions available in addition to the ones I have mentioned here, including one online at the John Milton Reading Room at Dartmouth College.For those who might like a less challenging version of "Paradise Lost", I suggest BookCaps "translation" (Amazon's words, not mine) Paradise Lost In Plain and Simple English or at an even less difficult level, Joseph Lanzara's John Milton's Paradise Lost In Plain English: A Simple, Line By Line Paraphrase Of The Complicated Masterpiece. Should those prove too difficult, there might be somewhere a copy by Classics Illustrated comics, although a search by Google turns up nothing --- perhaps they never published one.Since each edition of "Paradise Lost" has its strengths and weaknesses, how does the buyer go about selecting an edition for purchase? To me, it's rather like buying a car --- ultimately based upon personal preference, but in this case, rather than engine and body style, determined by the way the editor has modified Milton's language and added annotations, and their degree of adherence to his original language --- some editors produce as little modernization as possible to retain Milton's original meter and rhythm for reading aloud, while others try for a more modern sound. I would suggest using the "Look Inside" feature, to see what the editor has done, to help making a decision.Whichever edition you buy, may you find great enjoyment in reading what I consider the greatest epic poem in the English language --- although you might agree more with what Donald Sutherland's character, Jennings, had to say about it in the movie "Animal House": "Now what can we say about Milton's "Paradise Lost"? It's a very long poem. It was written a long time ago, and I'm sure a lot of you have difficulty understanding exactly what Milton was trying to say. ..... Don't write this down, but I find Milton probably as boring as you find Milton. Mrs. Milton found him boring too. He's a little bit long-winded, he doesn't translate very well into our generation, and his jokes are terrible."

I have three editions of Paradise Lost—Alastair Fowler's, Scott Elledge's and David Kastan's—, and this is definitely the most suited for my object and needs. David Kastan undertook a throughout update and revision of Merritt Y. Hughes' praised notes to Paradise Lost, and, although I haven't yet read Hughes' original work, I'm inclined to think that Kastan lives up to his illustrious predecessor. This edition includes a fine introduction to the poem, a glossary of uncanny words found in it, copious notes on historical, mythological and biblical allusions, and commentaries on Milton's style and poetics (they are neither as extensive nor as "scholarly" as Mr. Fowler's notes, but I find them more straightforward and elucidative to the average reader). Truly a work worthy of Milton's epic.

Milton is a genius, but the introduction and commentary on the poem are atrocious. It reminds me of Chesterton's comment about John and Revelation: "Though St. John the Evangelist saw many strange monsters in his vision, he saw no creature so wild as one of his own commentators."A far more helpful guide to Paradise Lost is Leland Ryken's volume in his series Christian Guides to the Classics. The detail is not as granular, but it's a far more reliable commentary on the poem itself.

I am a huge fan of Paradise Lost itself, but I want to confine this review to the Kindle edition of the Dover Thrift Editions. The Kindle edition has the text of the poem with straightforward formatting. Line breaks were consistent with what you would expect from print edition. There are no line numbers, but I have yet to see a kindle book with line number in poetry. My biggest complaint is that the footnotes, of which there are many, are not linked into the text, making them practically useless in the Kindle edition. It is difficult to switch back and forth between two locations without links, especially when you are not sure what part of the text will have a footnote. So, 5 stars for Paradise Lost, but just 3 stars for the Kindle edition. I would try and find one with linked footnotes.

The best way to read one of the foundational classics of the Western world is to take a class at a university from a professor who specializes in Milton and baroque English authors. The second best way is to buy an edition like this one and read everything between the covers. Paradise Lost plumbs deeply the Greeks, Romans, the Bible and other religious and secular literature. In addition, it is a commentary on the English monarchy and the storm that overtook it with the execution of Charles I in 1649. Milton played a role in that drama, and it is embedded in Paradise Lost. By the time he started writing, a restoration was afoot, and Milton had to be careful not to indict himself for his enemies, who were looking for an excuse to arrest him. In other words, to simply read only the surface story is to miss almost everything, though the story itself is wonderfully told.I read the Kindle edition. That made it easy to pop from text to notes as they came up, deepening my understanding, but a paper book with a couple of bookmarks would be almost as easy. Paradise Lost is the work of a believer, and if you are a believer not afraid to read outside the Bible, your efforts will be rewarded. If you are a lover of literature, as I am, this is the mother lode!Paradise Lost is written in verse. This version modifies the English for modern readers. Even so, it will be a project. Set goals, stick with it, and you will be rewarded. I came to look forward to my nightly reading. My goal was 100 lines a night. Usually, though, I went over. If you've ever wanted to read one of the big ones, read Paradise Lost. It's not a classic just because bookish scholars like it!
