I can't even begin to address the power of this book. I also purchased Dr Tony Evans book Kingdom Marriage. The two books go hand in hand (no pun intended). I was 2 weeks from finalizing my divorce with my wife, NO JOKE. The combination of the truth that I was able to pull from these two books really helped set me in a different mind set. If you are struggling in your marriage with your wife, these books are fantastic for the man to work on his end. if you have a wonderful marriage already, I don't see how reading these books won't help you have an even more amazing relationship. Oh and these books finally answer the age old statement that most of us have absolutely no idea what it means... to love your wife as Jesus Loves the church. The understanding you will get from that statement will set your marriage on a whole new level. I intend on reading and re-reading these books for years to come. I am so thankful to have heard about these books on Christian radio in my car. The timing was impeccable... as God's timing always is! Oh and you should know that a week later, after reaching back out to my wife, I called my attorney and cancelled my divorce proceedings and began working on building up my marriage.

When this book first arrived, I thought, 'You've got to be kidding me." It is a small skinny book & I felt like there has got to be more! As I started reading it, I was astonished at the gold nuggets this tiny book has. My husband read the " For Married Men Only" book & was also amused at the gold nuggets that he had found also. I would recommend all married couples or those who plan to get married, to read these two books. Thank you Tony Evans for sharing the knowledge you have gained from God. Simply put....Awesome read!!!

My pastor wife recommened this book and "For Married Women" My husband read this book in one night. The next morning my husband and i had a wonderful discussion about both books. We like the fact that the author referenced bible verses and stories. These books are helping us to properly line correctly under God. I definitely see a change in myself and my husband of 16 years.

Item don't arrive with initial package but Amazon fixed quickly and sent it. This book is short to the point, great insight for marriage-(from what little I read, it's a gift) and great for younger couples with the Marriage Matters book and wife's addition as a whole set. I also recommend Kingdom Woman and Kingdom Man with this set.

These are Tony Evans' devotions; however, this is NOT Tony Evans speaking on the CD. The man that actually does the talking is monotoned and slow and sounds nothing like TE. I wish I had known that before I made the purchase, but my husband loves the CD.

I've read other books by Tony Evans and this by far is such a good read considering how short it is. Evans paints a picture of married men loving their wives like Christ in three different ways. Read to find out. Also, the book is so good I plan on purchasing it for one of my uncles.

Decent read; I prefer to be more spiritual than religious but this comes off as very traditional, which may be positive/negative depending on what you bring to your reading.

Is your marriage suffering? Than this is a must listen to. Is your marriage good? Then make it even better and listen to what Tony Evans says and follow. After 14 months of going through hell with my wife leaving me that I "did" deserve and do not wish it on anyone, I got her back but the work has begone. If I had of listened to this before I hope I would have followed the way and would not have suffered in the heart wrenching 14 month experience I went through. Need I say anymore.

Mark Griffith is a professor of classics and of theater, dance, and performance studies at the University of California, Berkeley. This is the first book in a series of books that introduce the reader to the Greek tragedies. This book contains four plays by Aeschylus.I enjoyed reading the plays and did not have a hard time at all understanding them. The introduction in the beginning of the book really helps by giving the background story of Aeschylus and a small rundown on the plays he wrote as well as who he competed against in playwright contests, and if he won the contest or not. That at least puts the plays into some sort of historical context.The plays themselves are translated directly from Greek manuscripts, with no modern English thrown in to make it easier to read for the lay person, so if you are not familiar with this style of writing, it may be challenging to read for some. It is translated in similar fashion to Richmond Lattimore's versions of the Iliad and the Odyssey, so if you can read and understand those, you shouldn't have an issue reading these plays (Richmond did some of the translating on these plays).On a higher level, due to the content of the plays and their context, it also sheds some light on what life was like for the ancient Greeks, and what their concerns were for the day.I really enjoyed this book and plan on acquiring the other books in the series. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in studying the ancient Greeks and wants a little more than just information about them than just what can be found in a Greek Mythology 101 book or someone who wants to expand out beyond reading the Iliad and the Odyssey.

This is a different edition of a great translation.

Love this book! The friendship bracelet craze and the recent popularity of leather bracelets had me wishing I could make all of the cute bracelets I see in the stores. This book has gorgeous pictures, and clear instructions with step by step diagrams for women's bracelets, and even a few for men. Some of the bracelet styles are so pretty, that the book even suggests making it longer to wear as either a necklace or wrap-bracelet. I love that! My husband even looked thought the book and asked me how I thought he would look wearing one of the men's style bracelets (and he doesn't wear ANY jewelry except for his wedding ring!!) I'm ordering supplies today, and can't wait to start making bracelets!

I would have never spent money on this book with such poor instructions! I own many books on jewelry making. None of which are poor like this one.

Think of it as macrame for leather. This book has become my go to book for making bracelets.There is a learning curve to reading this book and I wish that the pages had more detail instead of telling you to go to a different page. It would be nice if the book was broken down into sections of making bracelets based on technique. The techniques are all at the back of the book and it doesn’t tell you what page to find it on.I do like that it has color pairing ideas and that it tells you the finished length of the bracelet. As you follow the directions to making each bracelet it tells you the technique and what page to find it. Make sure you have a sticky note on hand to jot notes on or to just save your page.

I have been wanting to learn how to make teen/adult style friendship and leather bracelets for a long time. I just couldn't find a how-to-book that interested me to learn, until this book came into my view. The book has alot of very nice styles including the usage of beads, metals, and buttons to help you use your imagination further. This book is in color and so planned out very well. It gives you clear step-by-step instructions. It's a great way to relax and free your mind. The styles are great for adults and not very childish for teenagers. Note: If I was able to make my very first bracelet quickly and exactly as it appeared in this book, then believe me, this is a great book. My teen said, "Hey Mom! Thanks for buying me all these great bracelets!" Once I told him that I made them, I finally heard the word, "Cool!" For anyone with teens, you know how hard it is to ever get any brownie points from them or feel like the cool parent. So for now I'm labeled as the "Cool Mom" by him and his friends, until a punishment comes along for breaking the rules.😁

I bought this book because the bracelets it featured were so pretty. I have now made 4 of the bracelets and bought materials to make other styles. Having done that, I can tell you that the instructions will hamper your ability to make the bracelets. Sometimes they are simply unclear, but worse is that vital information is sometimes missing or is completely wrong. For example, one bracelet requires a 2 mm leather cord and a 2 mm pewter charm that is supposed to fit on the leather cord. Clearly a 2 mm pewter charm will not have a hole big enough to fit on a 2 mm leather cord. It should say a pewter charm with a 2 mm hole. The instructions often require a fastener but do not specify what size. In sum, although I have made some pretty bracelets from this book, it has been a very frustrating process. There has got to be better books out there.

Very informative book with step by step written directions and photos demonstrating the correct way to braid and assemble the example bracelets. Great for learning basic skills! Then you can take those skills and expand with your imagination. Very happy I purchased this one!

Beautiful well written book, most stuff I knew as far as laddering goes, but I learned a bunch of new tricks and techniques. Any beader into these kinds of bracelets, this is a must have.

Read through it, haven't really tried too much, but pictures and directions are good. Think it will be quite useful when I actually get around to making a few.

I bought this book some years ago and have used the recipes. They come out good. Some cookbooks aren't tested but these recipes have been tested, judging by the results. We like the brisket of beef recipe. It's simple and it fills the house with a delicious aroma as it cooks. I buy this book as gifts for my friends' children who have grown up and are taking an interest in cooking. It's a really good cookbook.

Good reference for Oracle ASM. This will get you going for most ASM environments. But it is not for the in-depth analysis of ASM.

ASM is now a key cornerstone of Oracle database Software stack, embedded into all the engineered systems and a key component of Oracle RAC. 11gR2 was a major architectural shift with Oracle Grid Infrastructure and this trend continues with 12c with new concepts like Flex ASM.This book is an excellent resource for DBA's working with ASM. For those new to ASM, this is an excellent resource that will take through the entire Asm stack, step by step with examples. For the more experienced DBA's, this is a phenonmenal reference guide with respect to new features, concepts and practical examples of how and where to use them.Nitin and Prasad are well respected Oracle technologists, and this book reflects their vast practical expertise coming together in one spot.

I got everything I wanted to know, plus the details I couldn't find on my own (or in the docs), especially since we run ASM on AIX.

This book was a great read not only because of the information, but because of the layout and wording. The author was straightforward with the information adding on piece by piece every chapter. He thoroughly explained all the terms not too complexly, but also not too simple. The only thing I really found wrong with this book was the fact that it was repetitive. Though this was no problem for me; it made it to where it was an information refresher and I personally liked that. Though this can be a problem for others who do not like this style of writing. Anyone looking to gain a better understanding of sales management should read this book. It not only talks to you about managing a sales force, but more importantly what approaches to take to form a more effective sales force (such as processes and metrics). There are not too many books out there on sales management, so it is definitely nice to have one and people should take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about it.

This is a great book full of information but it's the style and overall way that information is conveyed to the reader that makes it great. This isn't just a sales guide book but an explanation to many of the ways sales are done. It's explanations on Metrics and other complex sales tracking within management give a much better understanding of why exactly management wants to accomplish certain sales goals and how they can manage to track the progress or lack there of. The book gives many great real life examples that are able to put the information into easliy understandable sections. The only problem I had with it is it can be a bit wordy and drag on with the same info and its extensive use of new terms could get confusing. Overall I would definitely recommend this book and after try a management oriented book because this book give enough information to make an easy transition between the 2 subjects.
